America Could Teach Africa A Thing Or Two About Corruption

The revelations by Wikileaks confirmed what informed commentators have known for some time, corruption exists throughout public life in the USA but it is the extent of it that has taken many by surprise. It would appear that the once hallowed government agencies are rotten to the core. These departments have been manned by cronies and political appointees dedicated to subverting the Constitution in order to usurp power and bring about the UN mandated fundamental transformation of America.

Until recently nobody in their right mind would have suspected that the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Justice Department, the Central Intelligence Agency, the once revered military and the Internal Revenue Service have been politicized to the point they are no longer fit for purpose.

No corrupt government would survive long unless the information disseminated to the public is controlled and manipulated to suit that government's agenda. This current election cycle has demonstrated beyond any shadow of doubt that the mainstream media in America are so utterly corrupted and stuffed with compliant sycophants that a free and fair election is no longer possible.

The only recourse for the people are their Houses of Congress, but even the peoples' elected representatives within have been rendered powerless by bribery and corruption and an all powerful Chief Executive armed only with a pen and a telephone.

Watching in despair at the corruption of the democratic process and the usurpation of power by Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party has made me nostalgic for the years I spent trying to be functional while surrounded by absolute corruption in Africa.

As a former resident of several African countries including Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe and others, I consider myself an expert at living and dealing with corruption at all levels of private and professional life. If there are going to be crimes against humanity then corruption by governments and its officials around the world should be up there with the worst of them.

If the latest polls are correct the efficiency and sophistication of the corrupt Democratic Party machine will deliver the Presidency to Hillary Clinton and her criminal cartel and with it the Judicial branch and the entire future of the Republic.

Americans voting for Hillary Clinton and the corrupt Democratic Party should be made aware of the fact that corruption in Africa has blocked all avenues for economic and social development, while looting the public Treasury by the political elite and their cronies keeps the citizens in perpetual abject poverty.

The more dangerous and depressing aspect of corruption is that it allows the elite to use dirty money as a means to usurp political power, disenfranchise the people and maintain control over the government and it's machinery in perpetuity.

One of the hallmarks of corruption in African countries, and the reason political power can be perpetuated, is the appointment of family members, cronies and sycophants into positions of power throughout the government machinery, especially the armed forces, the judiciary, law enforcement, the Federal Reserve as well as controlling positions in the banks and other major public and private industries.

As is the case with America today, corruptocrats in Africa also control the media to the extent that bought-and-paid-for advocates portray Presidents as benign benefactors who are halfway to divinity and any opposition figures as devils incarnate.

On a darker note, any signs of opposition are strangled at birth through smear, fear and intimidation. If any opposition movement does happen to gain public support or any sign of traction, however minor, covert assassination and outright murder are not unknown.

For my sins I happen to have been living and working in Kenya May 2001 when the then Secretary of State, Colin Powell, made a visit which, rumour had it, was to arm twist corrupt dictator Daniel arap Moi into retirement after more than two decades of absolute power.

The hopes of the Kenyan people were that Secretary Powell would be successful and Moi's demise would herald a new era of propriety, good governance and a bright, prosperous future.  (See here)

Unfortunately it was not to be, corruption permeates the institutions to saturation point and becomes so ingrained that changing the man at the top has little or no effect. Corrupt governments are almost impossible to remove without tearing them down, salting the earth and starting again.

The lesson for the American people is that once a corrupt organization usurps power it inserts itself into all aspects of government, both local and federal, and bends the institutions to its will, sidelines the Constitution and neutralizes any opposition. This transfers political power from the people to itself consolidating it's grip on power until such time as it is forcibly removed.

Catch A Falling Star - Obama Is Being Bitch Slapped From Iran To Kenya

It seems like only yesterday that candidate Barack Obama was being anointed as the new Messiah, a new era of politician who was going to 'fundamentally transform' the most powerful and prosperous nation on earth........into what he didn't say.

In a promise worthy of the Saviour Himself this photogenic so-called African-American, flanked by fake Greek columns, was going to 'stop the oceans from rising and heal the planet'.

So powerful was the Obama media created brand that world leaders would embarrass themselves with an undignified scrum whenever the chance for a photo opportunity came their way.

Great Britain's former Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, was so desperate for a photo-op that he disgraced himself, his office and the British people by chasing Obama through a hotel kitchen having been turned down for a meeting five times.

(Cynics argue that Obama was right to avoid Brown as the latter's reputation for imbecility went before him like a storm front. A photo-opportunity with Brown at this particular moment in time was to be avoided at all costs to prevent him tarnishing Obama's expensively created image)

The ultimate accolade came when after only nine months in office, a now sanctified President Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace prize for his "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between people"; this was despite the fact that he was engaged in two wars at the time.

Many people had warned during his initial campaign for the Presidency that Barack Obama was a dangerous creation of the global 'progressive' elite who were determined, in the name of equality of nations and of people, to downgrade the United States of America, erase its Judeo-Christian heritage and consign American exceptionalism to the dustbin of history.

Some six years later every American patriots' worst nightmare has come true; the United States has indeed suffered a severe downgrade both socially and economically and its reputation abroad is tainted almost beyond repair.

During his tenure as Commander-in-Chief, the once mighty military machine has been so socially engineered by sexuality and gender obsessed politicians it is no longer feared or respected. Among some of America's more religiously motivated enemies, the move to allow gay, lesbian and transgendered people to serve openly is the last straw that has reduced the military to nothing more than a laughing stock.

A heavy dose of reality does have a sobering effect on the mind in addition to removing the rose tinted spectacles from those that put them on because they deliberately did not wish to see the truth.

Looking back some six years it would have been inconceivable that this man who was halfway to Divinity is now being bitch slapped everywhere from Iran to Kenya; not just by the big beasts of Iran and Russia but by every tin pot dictator from Assad in Syria, to Uhuru Kenyatta in his supposed spiritual home of Kenya.

In six short years the slobbering sycophants who were hoping for some of Obama's starlight to rub off on them have replaced their undignified scramble for a photo op with a polite 'say cheese and lets get the hell outta here' attitude.

During the recent mid-term elections, even his own Democratic party members made their excuses and hid in the trees rather than have their reputations tarnished by a photo op with their own President.

This disregard for Barack Obama, along with the associated disrespect for the office he holds, has made the world a more dangerous place.

The tyrants in Beijing are expanding their influence in the South China Sea and attacking America's cyberspace interests with impunity.

President Putin has humiliated President Obama on the world stage by ignoring his threats and expanding, without fear of retribution, his Russian Empire into Crimea and Ukraine. He is currently working on returning the Baltic States into the Russian sphere of influence and who would bet against him succeeding.

President Assad of Syria crossed Obama's so called 'red line' over the use of chemical weapons without fear of the threatened retribution. This has emboldened every other dictator and terrorist in the region and beyond to also pursue their goals without fear.

Embarrassingly for the American people, their President still believes in his own Divinity and that the whole world still hangs on every word he utters.

President Kenyatta rightly bitch slapped him when he proceeded to lecture him on gay rights in Kenya; this episode also serves as a clear indication that although he touts himself as an African-American, with Kenyan ancestry, he doesn't have the faintest idea about African attitudes to homosexuality.

Likewise when he lectured the British people about their remaining in the hated EU; he was told in no uncertain terms to mind his own business by a series of prominent politicians, including the leaders of the ever growing United Kingdom Independence Party (Ukip), which is campaigning to leave.

If, as British Prime Minister Harold Wilson is once quoted as saying, 'a week is a long time in politics' then six years is a lifetime and it shows in the demeanor and delusions of the once infallible, Messianic President of the United States.

In conclusion, like President Jimmy Carter before him, no matter what he thinks his legacy will be, it won't turn out that way. With the Ayatollahs openly humiliating him over their victory in the nuclear talks, they join Russia, China, ISIS and every other Obama emboldened enemy laughing as they belittle the person that was, until recently, the most powerful man on the planet.

Hope And Change Kenya Style - Yes We Can!

Much political capital was made during the 2008 Presidential election campaign about the links between President Obama and Africa on account of his father being Kenyan. His political opponents claim that although they were estranged, and in order to secure the non-white vote, candidate Obama successfully passed himself off as an African-American even though he is of mixed race due to his white mother.

These same detractors also claim that his links to Africa, tenuous as they may have been, were exploited in order to seduce low information voters into believing they were making history by electing the first African-American president.

In other words they are claiming that an upbringing in Indonesia and Hawaii followed by a life in Chicago, his links both emotional and cultural to Africa are manufactured for image and electoral purposes, therefore they can be discounted. Any student of post colonial Africa will confirm that this is foolishly incorrect.

To anyone who has any knowledge or experience in East Africa, especially Kenya, the parallels between how these governments operate and the Obama administration are startling. Whether he has consciously used these governments as a template for his own is open to question but it cannot be discounted entirely.

The history of Kenya is well documented elsewhere but briefly for this essay a stable government by the Colonial Office was the hallmark of British colonial rule. The decolonisation process consisted of a transitional government led by the first elected black Prime Minister, Jomo Kenyatta, and a Governor General representing the Queen, working under an agreed Constitution.

Americans should take note that things started to plummet downhill after full independence was granted in December 1963 and the parallels with the current administration began to appear in earnest.

In June 1964 Kenyatta amended the Constitution to make Kenya a republic with himself as President. He gave himself wide executive powers effectively sidelining the legislature becoming not only the Head of State and Commander in Chief of the armed forces but Head of Government as well.

His contempt for the Constitution was further demonstrated when he ignored it again after his re-election in 1966 granting himself all the power he needed to run Kenya entirely by Executive Order. He filled important posts in the government, industry and the military with his own cronies along with family members and fellow tribal members.

During his rule Jomo Kenyatta used government agencies, including the police and the military, to harass political opponents finally banning the only other political party prior to the 1969 elections. Principled opposition politicians fled into exile with the unprincipled former opposition politicians joining with Kenyatta in his Kenya African National Union (KANU).

For fifteen years Kenyatta remained in control of this one party state until he died in 1978 to be succeeded by his deputy, Daniel arap Moi.

"Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely" could have been written especially for Moi who continued ignoring the Constitution for the next twenty four years engendering one of the most hopelessly corrupt governments in Africa if not the entire world.

The current President of Kenya is Uhru Kenyatta, son of Jomo who is currently under investigation by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for human rights abuses.

The United States of America obviously hasn't reached this condition just yet but it can't be denied that by sidelining its Constitution, bypassing the legislature and allowing a President to govern by Executive Order it is embarking on the same road as Kenya and therefore it is only a matter of time.

With little difference between the ruling Democrat Party and the establishment run Republican Party, America is for all intents and purposes a one party state with no third party on the horizon to halt the visible decline into third world status.

It's a safe bet that whoever wins the next election deficit spending will remain, the national debt will continue to increase, the borders will remain porous, amnesty to illegals will be granted and African levels of corruption in the government and its agencies will remain deeply entrenched.

In conclusion its worth noting that altering the Constitution in order to by-pass legislators thus instituting government by Executive Order is the African way, therefore if President Obama does have emotional and cultural links with East Africa then his current behavior is explainable and shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

It is also worth noting the behavior of neighbouring East African countries post independence.

Julius Nyerere, first President of independent Tanganyika/Tanzania from 1962 until 1985. Suspended the Constitution making himself Executive President.

Milton Obote, first President of independent Uganda from 1962 until deposed by a military coup in 1971. Amended the Constitution making himself Executive President.

Kenneth Kaunda, first President of independent Zambia from 1964 until 1991. Banned all political parties except his own in 1968.

Hastings Banda, first President of Malawi from 1966 until 1994.................etc. etc.
