Greece Didn't Have A Spending Problem Either Mr President

As the national debt exceeds $16 trillion and the annual deficit is about to exceed $1 trillion for the fifth consecutive year, gasps of disbelief could be heard echoing around the world as President Obama informed the House Speaker John Boehner that America does not have a spending problem.

I expect that the credit rating agencies, who have already downgraded America's credit rating once for not tackling the debt crisis, might disagree.

This is a shocking statement by any standard and it either displays a total ignorance of basic economics or it demonstrates that the fundamental transformation of the American economy from a free enterprise system into a European style socialist system, as promised by Candidate Obama, is about to become a reality.

On the day that the European Union central committee released the latest employment figures it is worth taking look at another country that didn't have a spending problem either.

Greece's ruling dynasty fundamentally transformed their homeland into a socialist economy by growing the government and welfare entitlement benefits financed by deficit spending and borrowing. This racked up insurmountable debts which due to a series of credit rating downgrades, the Greek economy was unable to service.

As has happened with every socialist economy in history, Greece went bankrupt leaving the people and future generations to suffer the consequences. (The politicians themselves got away unscathed with their entitlements intact)

Greece had a deficit of 6% in 2009 which has risen to 12.7% today and a debt to GDP ratio of 162%

America has a deficit of 9% and climbing with a debt ratio of 110% which is also climbing.

Greece has increased the top rate of income tax to 45% on income above $130,000 and abolished all exemptions.

The tax free ceiling before becoming eligible for income tax has been lowered from $15,600 to $6,550 and will abolished in the next budget.

Employers and employees must pay a Social Contribution Tax of 16% with a rate of 19% for blue collar workers.

Value Added Tax (VAT)  has been increased from 19 to 23%

Corporation Tax has been decreased from 40% to 20% but is scheduled to be increased to 24%

Not surprisingly tax avoidance in Greece runs at 45%.

The American people must be made aware that the price for this socialist transformation will, as always, be paid by the people.

The latest unemployment for Greece shows that it has risen by 7.1% to 26% and the most depressing statistic of all, and one which American students need to pay particular attention to, is that youth unemployment in Greece now stands at staggering 57.6%.

Without digressing too much from Greece it should be mentioned that the other European economic  basket case Spain, also didn't have a spending problem and unemployment there increased by 3.6% to 26.6% with youth unemployment standing at 56.6%.

There is a belief in the world at large that many Americans are suffering from Stockholm Syndrome where the victim falls in love with their abuser.

This was confirmed during the manufactured 'fiscal cliff' crisis when the President and his propaganda machine repeated ad nauseum, that there must be a balanced approach to solving the out of control deficit problem.

Most people understood that to mean that the 'rich' would be asked to pay a little more in taxes and government would in turn would reduce its spending.

The President and the Democrats were being economical with the truth during the negotiations and the GOP swallowed it whole.

There was no outrage from the public at this massive fraud and deceit but to any student of socialist methodology the outcome was predictable, the administration got its way on taxes but gave nothing away on spending.

Looking at the European experience, this is just the beginning. House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi, has already indicated that the government will be looking for more revenue from taxation in the months to come and it can be guaranteed that this extra revenue will not be used to close the deficit or pay down the debt, it will most certainly be spent on new entitlements.

Nancy Pelosi is also repeating to anyone that will listen that the President should bypass the Congress and just raise the debt limit by Executive Order. So is Treasury Secretary Timothy Geitner and a whole host of administration apparatchiks and cronies.

"I would do it in a heartbeat" she is quoted as saying.

This by passing of Congress is obviously the new Democratic Party strategy.

As a political junkie who has looked at governments all over the world, I can't help but admire the efficiency of the Democratic political machine.

Their control over the Main Stream Media is total, their dedication to their agenda is absolute, their plans are thought out to the smallest detail and their strategy for implementation is ruthless.

The GOP is reduced to a fringe party protesting from the sidelines.

To the detriment of freedom lovers the world over America has joined the ever growing list of one party states.

Despite of all the evidence proving that high rates of tax yield less revenue for the Treasury, one has to wonder if 'progressives' are constantly in denial or just plain mentally ill.

They seem to have the ability to ignore all the evidence and carry on with the belief that taxing an ever shrinking number of 'rich' people will finance an ever growing number of welfare recipients.

The evidence they ignore goes back as far as Cicero in 55 BC through to Art Laffer today, its almost as if Karl Marx has removed these peoples ability to understand simple economic theory or even to understand basic arithmetic.

"those who ignore history are destined to repeat it" is a well known phrase but it has obviously not been read by the current crop of brain dead, ideologically driven conmen that infest the worlds Legislative bodies.

I can remember the disastrous Trade Union dominated Labour government in 1970's Great Britain.

As is normal with socialist governments the world over, the British economy had collapsed into bankruptcy as a result of the government spending in excess of its revenue.

'Sunny Jim' Callaghan and his Chancellor of the Exchequer Denis Healy came up with the only possible solution that a socialist is capable of dreaming up.

It was so simple its a wonder that these two geniuses didn't think of it earlier and it was so effective that the aforementioned brain dead conmen still use it to this day to run their respective economies:

a) borrow more money

b) increase taxes on the 'rich'

Those of my generation who remember those days all know how it all ended and they would need to have a heart of stone not to laugh.

Denis Healy promised to 'squeeze the rich until the pips squeak'. (He claims he was misquoted but his actions proved the sentiment was there.)

He raised the top rate of income tax to a staggering 83% triggering an exodus of Great Britain's most talented people and artists, which was affectionately known at the time as 'the brain drain'.

Apart from British industries finest innovators and business entrepreneurs, high profile actors and rock stars were also jumping ship. Some headed for continental Europe but by far the majority headed to the land of individual liberty, free enterprise and low taxes, the United States of America.

The most notable exiles included The Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart, Michael Cain, Cat Stevens, Noel Coward, Tom Jones, David Bowie and surprisingly, The Two Ronnies comedy duo.

Tax revenue plummeted and Denis Healy had to take his begging bowl to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a loan.

Most people associate IMF loans with the backward economies of Africa, and South America but the Labour government of Callaghan and Healy managed to bring third world economic collapse to the once global superpower of Great Britain.

The last Labour government of Blair and Brown ignored history and repeated the Callaghan/Healy mistakes in a spectacular fashion. They opened the floodgates of spending and instituted over a hundred new taxes, including raising the top rate to 50% but were still borrowing in excess of 120 billion per year with the inevitable catastrophic results.

In addition to Great Britain, the socialist imbeciles running Greece, Italy, Ireland, Spain and Portugal all ignored history and followed the same perverted ideology which resulted in economic collapse and a typically socialist equal sharing of poverty and misery for their respective peoples.

One would think that with the lessons of history and all the misery and economic mayhem surrounding him the newly elected President of France, Komrade Hollande, would steer a very different course.

Alas no, he is an unrepentant socialist and he ran for election on a socialist ticket so his first act as President was to lower the retirement age and pay for it by increasing taxes including a top rate of 75% for the 'rich'.

If he thought there wouldn't be consequences the guy must be delusional or have a brain full of merde.

The most high profile Frenchman to jump ship was film mogul and business entrepreneur Gerard Depardieu who headed across the border to Belgium but in a humiliating development for Komrade Hollande, Gerard Depardieu has accepted citizenship from Russia which has a flat federal income tax rate of 13%.

What is not generally known is that Hollande's 75% tax rate has resulted in an exodus of French talent to London which is now home to the biggest French community outside of Paris. The top income tax rate in London is a mere, piffling 45%.

In Great Britain the cynical hypocrites in the Labour Party raised the top rate to 50% only months before they left office and subsequently the number of people declaring an income of 1,000,000 plus dropped from 16,000 to 6,000 costing the Treasury valuable revenue.

The same Labour hypocrites are squealing like stuck pigs because the current government has lowered the top rate from 50% to 45% which has resulted in an increase in revenue for the Treasury.

If any reader knows what planet these socialist morons are living on, feel free to let me know.

To bring this sorry tale up to date, it appears that the current Prime Minister of Great Britain, David ' Call Me Dave' Cameron has made such a mess of governing that he is in danger of losing power to the same gang of Labour Party socialists that wrecked the British economy in the first place.

To make matters infinitely worse for the global economy the newly re-elected President of the United States is also ignoring history and the recent high profile defection of Gerard Depardieu, by taking the first steps along the same road to socialism that is littered with the remains of the once prosperous European countries.

To the British and other impoverished Europeans, the Presidents' rhetoric is all too familiar, we've heard it all before.

"the broadest shoulders must bear the biggest burden"

or there's that old favourite


"the rich must pay their fair share".

or

" we are going to ask those who make more than $250,000 to pay a little more"

and then there is

"no one making less than $250,000 will see their taxes go up" (everyone got a tax rise on January 1st due to an increase in payroll tax of 2%)

and my particular favourite in reference to the balanced approach to cutting the deficit

 "you cannot cut your way to prosperity"

It was the British socialist Prime Minister 'Sunny Jim' Callaghan who said, when he was trying to reign in his more loony members that "you cannot spend your way out of debt".

So there we have it, the socialist President of the USA claims that "you cannot cut your way to prosperity" and a socialist Prime Minister of Great Britain claiming "you cannot spend your way out of debt".

Either way the result will be the same, the people will get screwed.

By electing a socialist to the White House the people of the United States are blissfully unaware what they have done.

They'll soon learn as their taxes start to rise year after year to pay for the expansion of welfare entitlements together with the amnesty for 12 million illegal immigrants and above all to pay for the interest on their astronomical and ever expanding debt.

PM Cameron Trashes Mrs Thatcher By Claiming Her Values Are Toxic

The Prime Minister of Great Britain,  David  'Call Me Dave'  Cameron is such a phony it's difficult for enlightened people to take him seriously.

For a man who has had the advantage of an elite education David Cameron doesn't seem to be displaying an iota of common sense.

He appears to be so clueless as to what the attitudes and more importantly, the hopes and aspirations of the British people are, that he comes across as arrogant and out of touch every time he makes a speech.

He always adopts the opposite stance on sensitive issues from the stance that his core party members, and the majority of the British people, would adopt and now he goes further by giving priority to issues that are only important to the minority Metropolitan 'right on progressive' elite.

David Cameron has followed the well worn path of the modern career politician. He had and elite education followed by the inevitable degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) then into a manufactured position within his political party.

Following the standard procedure for career politicians, Cameron spent a few token years in Public Relations with a minor television company in order to claim that he has experience outside party politics.

The truth is that Cameron has spent his whole life in a remote, closed circle of powerful like minded people who have no experience in the real world that the rest of us live in.

This circle of powerful people consider themselves to be 'progressive' that are above traditional party politics. They claim to be blue sky thinkers, movers and shakers and in a show of contempt for the people, opinion formers.  They also have an agenda they are determined to impose.

For 13 years this 'progressive' elite used the 'New' Labour Party to impose their 'progressive' agenda on the British people, but because this agenda was imposed without the British peoples consent there was always a danger that some time in the future another Margaret Thatcher could come along and put the whole project into reverse.

David Cameron is one of this remote elite and after becoming the leader of the Conservative Party he set about purging the party of its traditional values and policies and replacing them with 'progressive' policies, or as he termed it detoxifying the party.

The Conservative Party was the party of traditional British values and culture such as economic responsibility, patriotism, individual liberty, free enterprise, law and order, fair play, good manners, cricket on the village green, warm beer, church bells, old maids cycling to Evensong etc.

These were, and still are, the values and culture of Margaret Thatcher and the majority of the British people which David Cameron believes are toxic and an obstacle to his re-election.

Cameron believes that the cesspit of a country that was created by Labour's fundamental transformation is superior to the one it replaced and that it is here to stay whether the British people like it or not. He buys into the modern 'progressive' agenda and is determined that the British people will accept it.

The truth is, as the latest polls indicate, that the support for David Cameron's modern, detoxified party has been decamping in droves to the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) who are now the guardians of the traditional British values and culture that were purged from the Conservative Party by David Cameron and his so called modernisers.

If an election were held in the near future David Cameron would suffer a humiliating defeat and the disastrous Labour Party would resume power to finish the destruction that they started and in the process consign the Conservative Party to history.

To remind readers, the Labour Party sold itself as the traditional party of the working man and who's aim was the eradication of  poverty and injustice by the redistribution of wealth and the provision of welfare entitlements from the cradle to the grave.

The truth is the Labour Party derives its core philosophy from Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto. This can be confirmed by simply reading it and by paying particular attention to A.J.P Taylor's Introduction.( My copy is the 1967 edition).

The Labour Party despises the traditional Great Britain and is dedicated to its destruction and the building in its place of a state mandated, multi-cultural, egalitarian society that is demanded by their perverted ideology.

The Liberal Democrats are an amalgam of the old Liberal Party and the Social Democratic Party who broke away from the old Labour party in the 1970's over policy disagreements. They sell themselves as libertarian and champions of minor causes.

Although they come across as harmless, eccentric, sandal wearing, vegetarian hippies, they truly are a very nasty party with policies further to the left than Labour. They despise private wealth and believe that they have the right to confiscate it for redistribution as they see fit.

The Liberal Democrats are European Union federal superstate fanatics who are neither Liberal nor Democratic.

All three party leaders describe themselves as 'progressive' and they all adhere to the same 'progressive' policies:

All three leaders agree that government can spend peoples money better than the people can spend it themselves.

They all put raising revenue via high and progressive taxation above cutting government spending.

None of the leaders have a plan to cut the nations crippling debt.

They all believe in state mandated equality and fairness.

They all use the discredited 'combating climate change' scam as an excuse to artificially raise energy prices forcing more people to be dependent on the government.

They are all Cultural Relativists who believe in equality of nations, thus they all believe in giving taxpayers money to foreign governments regardless of how its spent.

This is also good their international creditability which will come in useful for future employment when they get kicked out of office.

They all support a federal European Superstate. They all promise a referendum on the issue but never hold one.

They all obey mandates and treaties from the continually dysfunctional and discredited United Nations.

They all support the destruction of the traditional family and they all support homosexual marriage.

They all believe in a multi-cultural society and refuse to end open border mass immigration.

They all endorse zealously policed political correctness as means to control language and thought.

They all refuse to stop the downgrading of our Christian heritage while simultaneously upgrading Islam.

They all believe that the hideously biased BBC is impartial and should continue to be funded by the public under threat of imprisonment.

The all believe that the monstrously inefficient socialist monolith know as the National Health Service (NHS) is the nations most cherished institution and that it is the envy of the world.

They all disapprove of the traditional British pub culture and support a minimum price for booze as a social engineering exercise.

They all endorse voter fraud by refusing to stop electoral malpractice such as bogus voter registration and multiple postal voting by Imams and tribal elders.

They all believe in the dumbed down socialist comprehensive education system.

The fact is that all three party leaders are 'progressives' and they all endorse the fundamental transformation of Great Britain from what it was a decade ago to the shambles that it is today.

Of all the insults David Cameron has heaped upon the British people nothing is worse than claiming that their traditional values and culture are toxic.

David Cameron is a spineless intellectual midget who isn't fit to polish the Iron Lady's handbag.

America Joins Europe In The New Dark Age Of Socialism

In the 1970's The Socialist Workers Party known as the SWP started to make its mark on the British loony left political scene. Their dedicated activists were to be seen picketing factory gates and workplaces the length of the country harassing the workers and selling their weekly rag sheet, known as the Socialist Worker.

I recall a banner headline in 1974 on the occasion of Richard Nixon's resignation above a blown up picture of his face: One Man Down A System To Go.

This anti-American sentiment was shared by the entire British left including the communist dominated Trades Unions and the Labour Party.

The reason is obvious, that while the American system of prosperity driven by individual liberty and constitutionally limited government existed, the equal sharing of poverty and misery offered by communism/socialism would be unattractive by comparison.

In contradiction to Karl Marx's predictions and despite the efforts of the Trade Unions and the hard left to incite a class war, the people of Great Britain were not the revolutionary type and they showed no desire to overthrow the established order or to replace it with a Soviet style communist autocracy.

The people were relatively happy with their system of multi-party elections even though they would traditionally grumble about the results.

To progress their cause the hard left offered themselves up for election under their own banner and were subsequently humiliated every time, attracting a derisory handful of votes and using up valuable resources on lost deposits.

The Thatcher and Reagan administrations were a bitter blow to the hard left as they offered an alternative to the socialist orthodoxy of government control over the economy, political power and the minutiae of everyday life.

These two administrations reversed the generational drift to left by setting the people and industry free from the communist dominated, and in many cases Soviet Union funded, Trade Unions, from the Labour Party and from ever intrusive government bureaucrats.

The old inefficient nationalised industries were sold off with share discounts for the employees and for the first time in history working class people became shareholders. Social housing was sold off to the residents at a discount so working class people became property owners.

To the horror of the global left, Thatcher and Reagan took their free enterprise philosophies onto the global stage resulting in the downfall of the Soviet Union.

The global leftists progress towards communist domination of the planet was put into reverse. People started to become independent of government by taking control of their own lives and removing once and for all the left wing establishments' reason to exist.

The Thatcher/Reagan defeat of communism had a galvanising effect on the left, they analysed their position and came up with a devastatingly effective agenda to usurp power and to put in place an infrastructure that would ensure governments like Thatcher/Reagan could never happen again.

Dropping the words communism and socialism and now referring to themselves as 'progressives' the hard left united, they put aside their ideological differences and infiltrated the existing political parties across Europe, the United States and the UN.

For 18 years in Great Britain they planned their revolution down to the smallest detail. They infiltrated and politicised the traditional British institutions ready for the day they took control.

Europe was already a cesspit of authoritarian socialism with the European Union taking over where the Soviet Union left off but in 1997 with the election of the the Labour government in Great Britain the transformation agenda to impose eternal socialism began in earnest.

This long planned and permanent fundamental transformation of Great Britain was benign in the beginning but was ramped up after Labours' re-election for a second term.

To make the transformation permanent the 'progressives' instigated what was in effect a scorched earth policy with the intention that any incoming government trying to clean up the destruction would be so unpopular they would be limited to one ineffective term.

The list of their crimes is endless but in summary:

Unlimited expansion of the state at the expenses of the private sector.

Unprecedented increases in direct and indirect taxation.

Ensuring high taxation and government control of the economy for generations to come by refusing to cut spending thus deliberately increasing debt and the obligation of debt repayment.

Cultural and demographic replacement, otherwise know as ethnic cleansing, by using open border mass immigration.

Carrying out a cultural war on traditional Judeo-Christian values allowing other cultures like Islam to dominate.

Creation of a dependent client state by extending welfare entitlements to almost everyone including immigrants who have paid nothing into the system.

Creating a permanent socialist voting proletariat by squeezing the middle class out of existence via taxation, envy and class warfare.

Controlling the media, effectively closing down alternative opinions.

Indoctrinating children via the education system.

Attempting to control thought and behaviour by zealously policing a political correctness agenda.

Disenfranchising the people by continually transferring sovereignty to unelected supra-national bodies such as the European Union and the United Nations.

The fundamental transformation of Great Britain from a free sovereign country based on individual liberty into a cesspit of socialist deprivation is complete. Great Britain is unrecognisable from the country it was a decade ago.

The capitulation of the American House of Representatives over the 'fiscal cliff' negotiations spells the beginning of the end for the American people.

With the re-election of President Obama for a second term the 'progressives' are on a high and they are determined to implement their long planned transformational agenda.....permanently.

As was the case in Great Britain, tax hikes for everyone with no accompanying spending cuts is how it starts, by the end of this administration the United States of America will be a unrecognisable from the one we know and love.

So as the America people wake up this morning to the new reality of defeat to the socialists they have finally joined the rest of us poor suckers who have been suffering the 'progressive' revolution for a decade or more.

The liberty loving people of the world were in denial when they thought that the last bastion of freedom on the planet would hold the socialist revolution at bay and in doing so it gave them hope that one day they would overcome and throw off the shackles of government engineered equality, fairness and misery. A

Alas they were wrong.

CNN and Piers Morgan - Poor Judgement Leads To Progressive Agenda Backfire

Knowing what every sensible British person thinks about Piers Morgan one would think that an organisation the size of CNN would do a background check before putting their reputation and their ratings at risk.

A cursory glance at any biography would have revealed to them what an odious opportunist and thoroughly repugnant piece of work Morgan is.

Nothing is off limits if it boosts his personal wealth or celebrity status, not even his readers' hard earned money or the safety of British soldiers serving in Iraq.

The Daily Mirror share tipping scandal is a classic example of Morgan pushing the limits of legality to make a fast buck. Two Daily Mirror city reporters would tip the readership on what shares or stocks to buy knowing that the tip itself would increase the price albeit temporarily.

The two Daily Mirror shysters and Piers Morgan would buy the shares before the tip was made public and sell them shortly after, prior to the price dropping. This is illegal and the two Daily Mirror shysters were rightly prosecuted, Morgan on the other hand did it in somebody else's name so got away clean.

The Daily Mirror readership who bought the tipped shares in good faith lost their money. (This prompted a Piers Morgan song on Ytube which is unsuitable for a family blog).

Morgan should know that soldiers do not get to choose when or where to fight, they swear an oath of loyalty and fight wherever Her Majesty's government orders them to. Morgan opposed the Iraq war but instead of taking it out on the politicians he takes it out on our brave men and women in uniform.

As editor of the loony left wing Daily Mirror tabloid he published photographs of British soldiers supposedly abusing Iraqi prisoners. The photographs were faked but they had the effect of enraging the already volatile Muslim population around the world putting military personnel and British citizens abroad in even more danger than they already were.

This was traitorous behavior and Morgan was rightly fired. In the court of public opinion he should have been prosecuted but the Criminal Justice System in Great Britain has been hijacked by the 'progressives' and they, as we all know, take care of their own.

In summary, Piers Morgan is first and foremost a celebrity socialist better known as a 'progressive' who has adopted the typical 'progressive' self loathing agenda,  anti capitalist, anti war, anti Israel, 'combating climate change' etc. and, as we now know,vehemently anti American.

All this should have been obvious to CNN so one must ask why they hired him and especially to replace a much loved national icon such as Larry King.

It doesn't take much of an investigation for the answer to jump off the page.

CNN and Piers Morgan were made for each other, the parallels and similarities are there for all to see, Piersy, as he is sometimes known, is one of them and as we have previously mentioned 'progressives' look after their own.

CNN was set up by loony left wing nutcase Ted Turner with the sole purpose of pushing his personal 'progressive' agenda. Its so called journalists are advocates for socialism, Anderson Cooper and Christian Amanpour for example and any journalist that does not go along with their perverted ideology are off loaded, Glenn Beck and Lou Dobbs being the most noted.

Ted Turner is the is the ultimate poster boy for self loathing socialist hypocrisy, there is none of this equality and fairness stuff  for our Ted and redistribution of wealth means other peoples wealth not his own.

Champagne Socialist Ted Turner, or Limousine Liberal as his breed is known in the USA, owns 15 ranches, roughly 2million acres, which makes him one of the biggest landowners in the country and he is worth in excess of $2billion. Not bad for someone who's political philosophy bans all private property.

Ted Turner gives financial support to the biggest anti American forum on the planet, the United Nations, money that could be put to better use alleviating poverty and hardship at home.

Ted Turner's agenda is pure 'progressivism' and consists of political correctness, anti Christian, anti military, anti Israel, pro abortion, 'combating climate change', government run healthcare, gun control etc.

Ted Turner also believes that families should be restricted to two children.............except himself, off course, who has fathered five.

Ted Turner excelled himself as a loony left wing nutter when he married communist supporting multi millionaire 'progressive' 'Hanoi' Jane Fonda, who regards the racist Black Panthers as 'our revolutionary vanguards'.

Every American person I have ever met since my first visit to the USA in 1988 hates 'Hanoi' Jane with a passion and the memory of her sitting on a communist North Vietnamese anti aircraft gun while downed American pilots were tortured in rat infested prisons, rankles with them to this day.

CNN's only reason to exist is to promote the 'progressive' transformational agenda at home and on the international stage twenty four hours a day and what better creature to use than a fellow
anti American 'progressive'  than Piers Morgan.

His posh English accent lends itself to the illusion that anti American opprobrium is international and that the Constitution, especially the right of American citizens to bear arms is out of step with the modern civilised world.

It must bring a smile to the face of every patriotic American that CNN's ratings and reputation are joining Pier Morgan down the toilet where they belong and hopefully this will trigger a backlash against their transformational 'progressive' agenda

Hypocrites of the highest order, Ted Turner and Piers Morgan despise the country and the political system that made them wealthy and while it is within Ted Turners Constitutional rights to do so, it is not the case for Piers Morgan.

I would recommend that the government should heed the petition of the American people and deport him forthwith.

(The British have a counter petition to keep him in the USA so any suggestions as to where he should go would be welcome)

* Update - Piers Morgan has defended his anti Second Amendment stance in the Mail on Sunday and is threatening to leave America if you don't mend your ways.

 "I can spare those Americans that want to deport me a lot of effort by saying, that if you don't change your gun laws to at least try to stop this relentless tidal wave of murderous carnage then you don't have to worry about deporting me....I will seriously consider deporting myself".

This leaves the American people with two choices:

1 - Write to their Congressmen begging them to repeal the Second Amendment and give up their Constitutional Rights.

2 - Call him a cab for the airport......

Piers Morgan - A Stain On The Land Of The Free

These words were created and written by the worlds most intellectual minds in order to establish one of the greatest countries in the history of humanity.

The Founding Fathers created a country based on individual liberty with a constitutionally limited government and once this nation had been established the people were free to become the most prosperous on earth.

While the continental European nations disintegrated into religious intolerance, perpetual war, tyranny and serfdom, America under its Constitution forged ahead in the opposite direction with religious tolerance, freedom and prosperity.

The success of the United States attracted immigrants from all over the world who were prepared to risk everything for a chance at the American Dream or to live and worship as their conscience dictated.

The United States has always had its enemies and it still attracts opprobrium from a variety malcontents who hypocritically take advantage of the opportunities offered by a free America while rubbishing the system that makes it possible.

Piers Morgan is one such dishonorable hypocrite who seeks to lecture the American people on all that's wrong with their country while simultaneously making a fortune despite being a talentless ignoramus devoid of any basic manners toward his hosts.

With his ratings plummeting down the toilet CNN must regret the moment they tried to cash in on his notoriety as a talent show judge and his editorship of a left wing tabloid newspaper.

Rumour has it that CNN are looking for an excuse to cancel his contract and dump him.

Piers Morgan has made a living out of being a self publicising celebrity, a dissembling coward and a hypocrite.

 As editor of the Daily Mirror tabloid he claimed he was innocent of any knowledge of phone hacking while admitting that he listened to telephone conversations between Paul McCartney and Heather Mills that were hacked.

If Morgan had an ounce of integrity he would return to Great Britain and clear his name, the sad fact is that the British people despise the man with a passion and don't want him back.

As a British person and an admitted lover of America and its history I am embarrassed by Morgan's ignorant utterances and the disrespect he displays for his hosts, especially at a time when the nation mourns a true American hero.

General Norman Schwarzkopf was a man who pledged his Life, his Fortune and his sacred Honor to protect the country he loved and its Constitution so that putrid crap stains like Piers Morgan can remain free to make a fortune out of slandering the very same people and the Constitution without let or hindrance.

Mrs Thatcher's Last Laugh - Arthur Scargill Humiliated In Court Decision

With the news that Arthur Scargill has lost his court case which he brought against the remnants of his own union, this is an opportune moment to reflect on the history of this hypocrite who put revolutionary politics before the interests of his members, destroying entire communities in the process.

Free marketeer and avowed anti-socialist Margaret Thatcher was the Prime Minister of Great Britain at the same time as the two unrepentant communists Arthur Scargill and Mick McGahey took control of the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM), Great Britain's most powerful union.

Coal mining was one of the biggest industries in Great Britain which not only powered the industrial revolution but the Royal Navy as well. The entire economy was powered by coal and the industry employed hundreds of thousands of workers with the NUM having a membership approaching half a million. The NUM wielded immense power and in 1974 they used this power to bring down the elected government of Prime Minister Edward Heath.

The discovery of oil in the 1920's  and the conversion of the Royal Navy ships from coal to oil started the decline of the coal industry, this fact combined with the availability of cheap coal from overseas made the nationalised British coal industry uncompetitive and an unsustainable drain on the economy.

The Labour governments of Wilson and Callaghan, under their infamous Plan for Coal, were forced to rationalise the industry which inevitably meant that unproductive mines would have to be closed.

These closures were continued by Edward Heath's Conservative government and were used as an excuse for the NUM to strike work. By using blackmail, intimidation and the usual threats of violence they brought the country to its knees and the downfall of the Heath government. 

Due to the timing of the strike this sad period in British history was known as the 'winter of discontent', there were power cuts, a three day working week, mountains of uncollected rubbish in the streets and even the dead were left unburied.

This collapse of the economy resulted in a general election where power was handed to the union controlled Labour Party who promptly caved in to the NUM. Regardless of the collapsed economy and the dire state of the coal industry, wages were increased by a staggering 20%.

This was a typical piece of socialist logic which did nothing for the long term viability of the industry and only made matters worse in the longer term.

Enough is written about Margaret Thatcher's ideology and motivation elsewhere, but the same is not widely known about Scargill and McGahey.

Arthur Scargill followed his father into coal mining and communism. While his father was a member of the Communist Party of Great Britain (CPGB), young Arthur was a member of the Young Communist League (YCL).

As part of the infiltration strategy of communists into mainstream democratic socialist parties, which is laid down in Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto, Arthur Scargill resigned the YCL and joined the Labour Party.

Scargill resigned from the Labour Party when it dropped Clause IV from its constitution, this clause committed the party to nationalisation of all the major industries and utilities. He formed his breakaway Socialist Labour Party which went on to get an average of 1% of the popular vote in subsequent elections.

Scargill was and still is a revolutionary Marxist and like the rest of his ilk he is a hypocrite of the very highest order.

What the membership of the NUM didn't know while they were striking work and impoverishing their families was that Arthur Scargill was busy setting himself up with some not very communist sweet deals.

There was to be none of this Marxist nonsense about abolishing private property for our Arthur. He bought his own piece of real estate in Barnsley, after which he negotiated the fuel bills, the security system and even his own tax returns to be paid for out of his members subscriptions for the rest his life.

Scargill also negotiated an all expenses paid apartment in the *Barbican Centre, London, for his use and that of his surviving widow, paid for from the members' union dues. Somewhere along the line he also negotiated a 'Papa' Doc Duvalier President for Life deal.

* For information, the Barbican Centre is an up market housing development in London occupied by the operators of the capitalist system such as bankers, stockbrokers and various other 1%'ers. The very people that Scargill professes to despise.

Arthur Scargill had nice things to say about Stalin and also claimed that the ideas of Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin "explained the real world".

Mick McGahey, Scargill's deputy in the NUM, was a life long unrepentant communist who's father was a founder of the Communist Party of Great Britain, when that dissolved, McGahey joined the Scottish Communist Party.

McGahey was a communist fanatic who supported the Soviet invasion of Hungary and the subsequent repression of the Hungarian people. He is also quoted a s saying that the USSR "is a beacon of hope for humanity." 

Looking back at 1974 strike and the downfall of the Heath government, Scargill and McGahey were going for a repeat performance with the Thatcher government, a government and Prime Minister they ideologically opposed and hated with a passion.

The only thing that they needed was an excuse to strike work.

Armed the knowledge that many of Britain's coal mines were over 100 years old and suffered geological problems thus making them uneconomical, Scargill and McGahey committed the NUM to fight any mine closures except on the grounds of exhaustion.

As a result of this commitment the entire coal industry needed a massive subsidy from the taxpayer and this made the industries that were dependent on coal, such as the steel industry and electricity generation,  economically uncompetitive.

In order to rescue the bankrupt British economy, which was sunk by previous Labour Party mismanagement, the Thatcher government proposed to remove the subsidy and close uneconomic mines. Scargill and McGahey had their excuse and a year long strike followed.

Scargill and McGahey refused to hold a national strike ballot, instead by using the 'no mine closure rule' they struck work at  a mine that was earmarked for closure.

They went on to abuse the traditional loyalty of the mine working communities by demanding  sympathy action, they resorted to bullying, thuggery and violence to browbeat dissident communities into line.

Mrs Thatcher had read Scargill and McGahey like a book, she knew what was coming and had long prepared for their politically motivated strike by stockpiling supplies of coal. Her government also organised a fleet of trucks ready for its transportation if required.

More controversially she put the police on a war footing to make sure that any mine worker who wished to work would be able to do so without intimidation.

The rest is history, the NUM split with the formation of the Union of Democratic Miners (UDM), the strike collapsed and with it the entire coal industry.

Thanks to Arthur Scargill and Mick McGahey membership of the once mighty NUM plummeted from a peak of 450,000 to around 1,700 today. ( that's not a typo it really is only seventeen hundred)

Instead of a managed introduction of new forms of power generation, the political ambitions of Scargill and McGahey resulted in the industry being shutdown within a matter of years destroying entire communities in the process.

Mick McGahey departed for the great communist utopia in the sky in 1999 to spend eternity with his hero Stalin, the inhabitants of his home town of Cambuslang in socialist Scotland have insulted the murdered victims of Stalin by erecting a memorial in McGahey's honour.

Arthur Scargill still endures with the unshakable belief that the collapse of the coal industry and the most powerful trade union in history was nothing to do with him, it was all Thatchers fault.

It doesn't enter Scargill's thick skull that the duly elected Prime Minister of some 60 million people, including the tens of thousands of NUM members, had a duty to stand up to the bullying and blackmail of two communists fanatics who continually failed to get elected to parliament under their true banner.

Currently, the NUM is in financial straits and can no longer finance the perks of their 'President for Life'. The burden of this largess, as always, falls on the membership.

The NUM reviewed his contract and were unable to understand how these perks found they way in and if they are appropriate.

The financial plight of his union doesn't bother Scargill, his priorities have always been himself and his political agenda, this always took precedence over the interests of his members.

He took his own union to court in order to continue with his 'entitlements' regardless of their affordability.

The judge found in favour of the NUM so Scargill now has to finance his own extravagant bourgeois lifestyle.

Perhaps he could start selling the Big Issue or sitting outside the House of Lords with his dog on a piece of string waiting for his old friend the multi millionaire Marxist Neil Kinnock to pass by and drop a few coins in his battered cup.

This is a final ignominious and humiliating end to a once powerful union baron who abused that power in order to pursue his perverted ideology and a reason for the Iron Lady to indulge in one last laugh to herself.
